DUE TO A LOT OF REQUESTS PLEASE SENT ME A BOOKING REQUEST IMMEDIATELY! Smart and sunny furnished Studio located in one of the most authentic and old buildings of Kreuzberg. With his old stripped pine floorboards and spacious high ceilings, the flat recalls the traditional Berlin architectural style. The bedroom (2 windows) is furnished with a sofa-bed (150 x 200), a folding table and 4 chairs; the kitchen is equipped with all things that are necessary for cooking and eating, fridge/freezer, gas stove with 4 plates and oven. The interior design combines vintage elements with old wood artistic furniture. Starting from the Kitchen and going through the bedroom until the entry, everything has been worked and created with old wood floorboards. It is the material that takes centre stage and the main material is the Upcycling wood. His design is elegant and understated. The aim is to mention the creative and alternative upcycling wood scene based in Berlin, which collect and convert waste or useless products (like historic floorboards of no more existing buildings) or old materials into something new and valuable. A new form, a new identity, a new life get by a patchwork of old elements. The flat is located around the historic “Kreuzberg 36” and more exactly between the pretty Lausitzerplatz and the old Markthalle, now a new melting point for street food’s lovers. This part of Kreuzberg until 20 years ago was almost completely surrounded by the wall and for this reason, was also considered a no man’s land. A lot of pictures of the ’80s rap presenting desolation beside the wall have been made in those streets. After the fall of the wall, the district started being one of the most interesting places where subculture and strange cultures lived together giving life to important projects and clubs. Nowadays Koepi or Rachhaus could be mentioned for this attempt. Today the area around those streets maintain a certain flavour of authenticity that a lot of other district in Kreuzberg are loosing. The flat inside reflects this character of the timeless place and above all the building is one of the most authentic old construction in Kreuzberg still to be renewed.
